What is College Prep & Counseling?

According to the American School Counselor Association, as of the 2020-21 school year the national average of counselor to student ratio is 415 students per 1 counselor. As a former teacher and now a parent of two school age children, that seems ridiculous, and by no fault of the hard working counselors!  This service was born out of a need to help support current school counselors, in advising parents and students with how to prepare their student for college.  From discussing course selection, to which extra curriculars to join, to helping them find volunteer and internship opportunities.   All of which, started early in their high school careers, will only help strengthen their college applications.  

Where do sessions take place?

If located in the Denver metro area, I am happy to meet with you in your home.  However, for those families who either live out of the Denver area or just prefer virtual meetings, I am available to meet over zoom.  Once we begin services, students will submit essays for review and edits via my client sign in.

The COUGAR Package

2This package includes:

• Free Consultation Appointment
• Private counseling sessions to discuss issues surrounding course selection or college preparation 
• Access to their graduation year cohorts virtual classroom with resources to help guide them through their freshman, sophomore, AND junior years 
• Interview prep for internships and part time jobs
• Help locating and applying for internships, volunteer opportunities, and summer educational programs

​Cost: $1,200 for three years or $500 per school year

The EAGLE Package

​This package includes:

• Free Consultation Appointment
• Private counseling sessions to discuss issues surrounding course selection or college preparation 
• Access to their graduation year cohorts virtual classroom with resources to help guide them through their freshman, sophomore, OR junior years  

​Cost: $250 per month
